healer – the situation – my thoughts – vicky beeching

August 22, 2008 · 8 Comments

well, it’s been an interesting couple of days to see how people are reacting to the news breaking about the story behind the song Healer and it being a fraud. i’ve received more hits in these past two days on my blog than i could have ever thought about.

one thing i’ve been learning through the past couple days is that people actually do care and feel something about how this leader has used his platform so unfortunately. yes, we know the truth about who God is and that we should not esteem man higher than a song…those are credible words, but, from the comments on my blog in the past couple days it is clear that people have felt violated by this pretty sour lie.

if you’re interested, at all, on my thoughts on how i view it as a worship leader you’ve got to go over to my friend vicky beechings blog to see my response. my response is the first comment underneath her blog about it. if you don’t know vicky beeching, shame on you :) , and you actually might know a few of her songs as they’ve been sung in churches/conferences around the world. she wrote songs like ‘Yesterday, Today and Forever’, ‘Captivated’ and ‘The Wonder of the Cross’. she’s a Brit, quite a Worship Leader and a dear friend. she’s also got herself a great blog going on. be sure to check it out. her blog header below will take you there!

I’ve been surprised at how far the reach of this song has gone.

I wonder how much of it is because of its publication on a Hillsong album

Mike should go to goal, like  ALL the fraudsters, Alan Bond, Rodney Adler, Christopher Skase etc. doing anything else is crap. Christians are not above the countries law. His users in the Churches should also be found accountable to the countries law. They also committed fraud by default or maybe complicity who knows if we will get anything like the truth. Cut the psycho crap out please , its demeaning to anyone with a brain.

The interesting thing about this Pastor is the spelling of his surname.

Regardless of if its honesty we are angry about or not. WE ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT. this song is still anointed. See how it effects those who are looking for the hope it placed in us. beside’s
    1 Corinthians 1 : 23 – 31 says
23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God–and righteousness and sanctification and redemption– 31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”
I Forgive and am Healed ..
