Catalyst :: Backstage 2010

I get the chance to be a co-host of catalystbackstage.com this week in Atlanta. I’m joining up with John Acuff, Shauna Niequist and Carlos Whittaker to bring you live interviews with the Speakers and all kinds of behind the scenes stuff at Catalyst this week. This is a little real time conference resource for all of your that couldn’t make it. There’s also rumor that they’ll be streaming a couple of the main sessions. Tune in starting Wednesday starting at 12pm (EST) as we get started and follow along with us through the end of Friday.

Catalyst Westcoast 2010 :: What I’m Doing…

Some of you are seeing my Twitter and Facebook updates about #CatWest or Catalyst. I’ve got the privilege of being a part of the ‘Catalyst Family’ and serving with their team at their conference here called Catalyst Westcoast.

My role with Catalyst over these next few days will be:

Hosting: Wednesday is Catalyst Labs and I’m hosting one of the rooms. I’m basically making sure it starts and stops on time, tying in with the Speakers, doing announcements and keeping the thing flowing. The speakers in my room today are Susan Isaacs (Author, Speaker), Michael Hyatt (CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishing) and Scott Belsky (CEO of Behance). Amazing people and I’m in for a really good day.

CatalystBackstage.com: Thursday morning the Conference starts and I’ll be teaming up with Carlos Whittaker and Anne Jackson to bring the conference ONLINE to those of you that aren’t able to make it here in person through Friday. We will be interviewing the Speakers, Bands, Leaders of notable organizations all day long. It’s gonna be a lot of fun and I think you should tune in, chat it up with us and engage in the conversations both near and afar. We go LIVE Thursday morning at 9am (PST) @ CatalystBackstage.com

Anyways, that’s what I’m doing and it’s going to be an awesome few days. If you don’t know much about Catalyst…well, get with the program. This organizations is a hub for pointing us to great happenings locally, nationally and globally. Here is the promo video for this week at Catalyst.

Catalyst Westcoast – Announcement – Part 2

Announcement – Part 2 – Catalyst (could look something like this, but, totally different)

I’m excited to announce that I have been invited to join the team at Catalyst Westcoast. I’ve been asked to host, what they are calling, the ‘Catalyst Green Room’.

My role for the conference will be to have a presence in the ‘Green Room’ in the effort to bring the Catalyst Westcoast experience to the world via the web. I’ll be interviewing and interacting with a good chunk of the ‘key note’ speakers/leaders, Hillsong United and many other leaders that will be in the room in those days. It sure poses some exciting possibilities. If you watched Anne Jackson last year at Catalyst in ATL, she hosted a deal called ‘Backstage’ and it will have remnants of that idea, however, the web engine being put together for what we are doing is going to be improved and AWESOME!

My question for you is simply this…if you could sit down with some of the guys that are speaking/leading at Catalyst (Andy Stanley, Francis Chan, Guy Kawasaki, Brian Houston, Hillsong United, etc…) what would be the one or two things you would ask those leaders? The fun part is that I may ask your questions to these leaders. I want to get a running list of questions for these leaders that you want to know. Leave a comment with what you would ask these people!

Pretty exciting opportunity and I’m humbled to link arms with this amazing organization, called Catalyst, as they lead one of the most prolific conferences of the year! Many thanks to LV Hanson, Aaron Foster and Ben Arment over at Catalyst for seeing something in a scruffy guy like me. It will be a great few days! More to come as we get closer to the event!
